An invention patent refers to granting a patent to a new technical plan for products, processes or their improvements in any area of technology, provided that it is novel, involving an inventive step and able for practical use.
Formality and Substantive Examination.
*The applicant should submit the application of substantive examination within 7 years of the date of filing of the initial or divisional application.
20 years from the filing date
Within 12 months from the first filing date
once a year.
The fee for application of registration has included the annual fees of first 3 years.
- A copy of specification containing a description, claims and abstract and a set of formal drawings.
- The name and address of the inventor/applicant.
- Power of Attorney (must be duly notarization).
- A certified copy of the priority document if claiming for a priority right.
